This past Monday, June 4, the Dimension Mill sponsored the second annual Bloomington Interns Summer Camp Kick-off, which was held at Cardinal Spirits Distillery. With around 15 Bloomington-based companies and employers represented and over 35 guests in attendance, the event was a sure success.
Throughout the evening, interns and local leaders in business and innovation were able to meet, network, and learn about what the Bloomington community has to offer. Guests heard from Cardinal Spirits’ own Jeff Wuslich, Dimension Mill board member Jane Martin, Ellie Symes from The Bee Corp, and Lucy Schaich from the Bloomington Volunteer Network. The speakers emphasized the positive impact that the local community has had on their business endeavors and how they have found great success in the area.
At the kick-off, the Interns Summer Camp program was also presented to the crowd in order to inspire the interns in attendance to sign up. This program is built to ensure a positive experience for all Bloomington interns and includes weekly “family dinners,” trips around the area, and occasional networking events with local CEOs and leaders.
