'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS: THE MILL EDITION

As the year winds down and holiday cheer fills the air, we wanted to share something special to celebrate the community, creativity, and ambition that make The Mill so unique. Inspired by the holiday classic, we put our own Mill-themed twist on “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

Settle in by the fire (or space heater!) and enjoy this festive ode to innovation and collaboration:

'Twas the night before pitch day, and all through The Mill,
Not a laptop was silent; ideas sparked at will.
The whiteboards were filled with plans bold and grand,
In hopes that investors would soon shake their hand.

The founders were nestled, all snug in their chairs,
While visions of funding danced through the air.
With coffee in hand and ambition to steer,
They dreamed of the moment their startups would cheer.

When out in the Forge there arose such a clatter,
The coworking crew sprang to see what’s the matter.
Away to the window they flew like a flash,
Past holiday lights and the tree’s festive sash.

The green roof sparkled, a true point of pride,
While warmth from the “fireplace” glowed deep inside.
When what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But a mentor with wisdom and holiday cheer.

With a notebook in hand, so lively and quick,
They knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than venture rounds, guidance he gave,
Calling founders by name to help their ideas pave:

"Now pivot! Now scale! Now perfect your pitch!
On vision! On traction! On closing the niche!
To the top of the hub! To the front of the hall!
Now innovate, iterate, dream big—you’ll win all!"

And then, in a twinkling, they heard on the roof,
The sound of applause—a sure founder-proof.
As they turned to each other, with smiles they knew,
The Mill was the place where ambition rang true.

So here’s to the dreamers, the doers, the crew,
To building together and seeing it through.
